2016 Jeep Cherokee vs Grand Cherokee
Serving Dublin, Columbus, Hilliard, Westerville, Marysville, OH
Despite the similarities of their names, and the fact that they are both manufactured by Jeep, there are distinct differences between these two vehicles. What are these differences? Which one is better? That mostly depends on the individual buying it and their own set of needs. Each vehicle has some great features and is of excellent quality. Let us take a look at these two vehicles side-by-side in the 2016 models of both.
Features
First we have the 2016 model of the Jeep Cherokee. This is a snazzy SUV that is quite versatile and on the sporty side, while at the same time being practical. It comes standard with four doors, making it easy for a family to get in and out of, as well as being able to fit groceries or packages in the back seat. The Jeep Cherokee comes in four different models: the Sport, the Latitude, the Limited and the Trailhawk. Each of these models comes with its own features that make it quite a suitable choice. You really cannot go wrong with any of these.
The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee is an entirely separate line of SUVs with its own superb features. A slightly larger vehicle than the Cherokee, this is perhaps a fancier model, with your choice of exterior colors and its satin-polished aluminum wheels. The Grand Cherokee also has four distinguishable models to choose from. They are: the Laredo, the Overland, the Limited and the Summit. When you buy one of these stylish SUVs, you are bound to turn heads anywhere you go.

Performance
The performance of the Jeep Cherokee is tough to beat given its ability to perform well in all sorts of weather and off-road conditions. A couple of its features that allow it to do this include ground clearance, unequalled traction, and sheer maneuverability. If you live in a place with the main roads up in the mountains or perhaps sandy beach roads, the Cherokee is more than likely the vehicle for you. It has several high-tech components that make navigating rough roads easy and safe. This is true no matter which model you buy.
Having said all of that, we would be remiss if we did not tell you the Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same attributes. You can drive it around mild country roads or hectic city streets. The Grand Cherokee is also quite at home up in the mountains or cruising the nearby beaches. It runs efficiently on 3.0L eco-diesel fuel running through its high torque, V6 engine, and averages 30 mpg on the highway*. The Grand Cherokee performs every bit as spectacularly as the Cherokee, making either of the two a perfect selection.
Safety
If you are looking for safety, look no further than a Jeep. This is equally true of both, the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. Designed with the complete safety of its passengers in mind, both of these vehicles boast ultra-sturdy chassis and bodies with crush zones and side guard door beams. Plus each of them comes standard with front and side airbags. Of course they want to do everything possible to prevent accidents from occurring. Therefore, both the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee come with blind spot monitoring and audible warnings when another vehicle is too close to you. However, should you need it, both vehicle types have a 911 call button right on the rearview mirror.
No matter which you choose, the Cherokee or the Grand Cherokee will make a splendid SUV for you and your family.
